Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
its called a bosozoku/tsurikawa ring.. its basicly a stolen hangring from a train or subway in japan...
a friend of mine visited japan and send me some stuff
http://jdmtsurikawa.com/pages/tsurikawa (the video from the prius makes no sense )

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
This is the bit that worries me..."s basically a hand strap people are supposed to hold on to"
I presume that's in its previous life and not when its attached to the car!

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
that wouldnt work anyway
the carry would not move whit its 37hp when you hold on to the ring
mmmmm maybe nice to do burnouts

I like your Carry, especially the round headlights. Before I bought my Piaggio, I was always looking for Carry's. Never found one for sale.

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
thanx i love the round lights to
they are the same size as a golf ones so i have got some aftermarked parts that would fit to.. like the crosshair lights and angel eyes.
carrys are verry rare indeed.. i have never seen one in the wild
i think there are 2 for sale at the moment
they sell for crazy prices... no matter if they are rusted or havent had an mot/apk in years

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
Good thing that the Golf headlights fit! I gave you the dimensions, but didn't read that it would fit until now. You really have a lot of choice and they aren't that expensive!
You probably need to make some brackets to fit them into the carry, but that is better then redesigning the whole front end
By the way, I posted a similar message before, but just saw that it wasn't there. So if you read something like this twice, then it is my mistake

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
i started working on the interior
there were a lott of scratches and the previous owner had ducktaped the doorcards to the sides a couple of years ago
it was all shitty and was almost imposible to get clean again so i had some cans highgloss ivory laying around and thought mmm why not
if you remove the seats theres almost nothing left it only weighs 730kg
offcourse you can see some stripes and other stuff but it looks way nicer than it was
i did it with a brush and roller
what a difference some paint and a litle carpet here and there make
i got a bitt carryd away with the enginecover
undersealed it a while ago so that looks nice to.
im not finished with painting the inside but i thought i give you guys an picture update
this winter we will carry on with the welding of the arches and some other small patches that need work.
after that it will get rolled/dipped/sprayed .. i havent made my mind up jet

Re: exhijet now suzuki carry project
a guy i know sold his carry to get a hijet
so after trying to convince him hijets werent that great regarding the coolingsystem.
(he bought it with a leaking thermostathousing )
he thought it was just my personal experience dealing with hijets and he didnt believe me.
i also showed him this forum but even that couldnt convince him..
he called the piaggiodealer and they said to him that they never heard of coolingproblems regarding hijets/porters
he had some extra parts lying around for his carry.
and had sold the carry verry quick and it was being collected soon.
so i didnt think twice and drove to him the same day, because i was afraid the new buyer would collect it and just take all the parts with it.
got some cool second hand parts like a bullbar / 6 good shockabsorbers / springs / brakes etc
im realy happy with the parts, especialy the dame edna bullbar
this month we will start with the welding on the carry (wheelarches, struttowers etc)
and i hope to get it painted in feb-march
im not in a hurry because i cant drive it at the moment
its registered as an oldtimer .. that means you pay almost nothing regarding taxes and insurance
but you have to store your car 3 months in the winter and cant drive it then.. dec/jan/feb.
happy new year guys
