Well that really is good timing on your part. Makes a change. I have just come back from the Dentist for the regular 6 months check up and I was in the chair less than 2 minutes and told "All good" and come back in NINE months - October 17th. So nowt wrong with my gums boyo!!

those have been for sale a couple of months now.

the add says 4x110.. but it wouldnt be the first set of wheels advertised as 4x110 that didnt turn out to be correct.
did you also ask him about the centrehole/naafdiameter, if thats the correct size?

Yes they are for sale for a long time. So that makes it easier for me to talk down the price
The center hole is 4mm to small so 2 mm needs to be cut away. Don't think that will be an issue.

DON'T BORE OUT the centre hole of the Wheel. Have the Front Hub Flange Nose turned down then you can swap the wheels front to back when the tyres start to wear unevenly on the front.

If you need a couple of flanges to machine down rather than have your van off the road I can send them to you.

I already thought about doing that. But if all the rims are adapted than I can switch the tires as well. And then I can even swap them between my cars if I want to.

Why do you think it's a bad thing to bore out the rims?

Because if you leave them as they are then they can be sold to fit the original application AND it will be much cheaper and quicker and easier to turn down TWO hub flanges. Then your wheel will fit a larger range of vehicles if you decide to sell the wheels at a later date.

Turning down the hubs rather than FOUR wheels is a no-brainer in my book.

but PvdB has got 2 hijets , a pickup and a van.
so he would need to machine 4 hubs if he wants to switch them between vehicles.
and do the swapping over work and pay for postage and hubs.

and 4x110 wheels arent as sought after over here like in the uk.

Ah right I understand Scotia. Sort of. I'm assuming that his idea is that like me he can swop the nicest wheels onto whichever vehicle he wants to look the smartest on the day. Still it saves me removing 4 flanges discs and callipers from 2 Hi-Jets and splitting the discs off the flanges and sending them to him. I was only going to charge him for the Carriage and when he had removed his flanges send his ones back to me. I know how hard it is for you all out there so it was a good will gesture to help him out.

Phew!! Thank goodness I haven't got to do all that with 4 hubs. You carry on with your plans PvDB my friend.

I have the rims at home right now. Wonder if they were ever mounted on a car... They can use some attention to look shiny again, but they are looking very nice! I will see how they fit some day this week.
Unfortunately my pickup is in storage right now so I can't check them out on my beauty. But the Van will do for now. Will drive my pickup again when there is no more salt on the road.
