Re: Alloy wheels!!
First question you should answer is what PCD is my van?
Get a wheel trim off and get measuring!
Also measure the offset.
I know how my hijet mpv measures up, but your love bus may be different.

hi, i managed to purchase a set of original 12" dihatsu hijet wheels, made in italy by pagiao,(4 brand new in box) obtained them on e-bay , cant remember the sellers name right now but will post it up when i find it again, at the time he had 4 sets on offer, and i only bid £40.00 and won,,,(i think i was very lucky) you can see pictures of the wheels on this site,(bones 851). i stumbled upon them by looking for 12" dihatsu alloys on e-bay, good luck with the search, oh and very nice jet......bones 851

Re: Alloy wheels!!
Since I have had a dry and bright 5 minutes, I have managed to measure the PCD for the love bus!
Using your wonderful link and adivce, I have calculated it as the following.......
Distance between centres was 80mm
4 stud pattern.
Therefore PCD is calculated as 113.14mm
Does that make sense?
Thanks

Re: Alloy wheels!!
I'm not sure you've come out with the right number there, sorry to down your efforts.
As these machines only have 4 studs, if you measure diagonally from between studs 1 and 3 OR 2 and 4 that will give you the pcd. You need to measure from the centre of the studs, hang on i'll draw you a diagram.....

Re: Alloy wheels!!
Hows that!
The yellow line tells you the PCD.
On five or three stud fitment it is a little harder to do and thus needs some calculations doing.
I suspect it will be 110mm, better if it wasn't though.
Re: Alloy wheels!!

It was difficult when a had a four year old, trying to help daddy out this afternoon

Helping daddy! That was my favourate time as a kid =) Now daddy helps me and daddy has bad knees and his eye sights getting crap... and seems to have lost his infinate patience and gained infinate grumpiness
I tend to keep the wheel on and mark up the nuts with some centre marks by eye/calipers, then measure between the marks.

Re: Alloy wheels!!
Now daddy has gone out in the rain and done it properly!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would you believe it 110!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That and having to put tiny speakers in doors of the van, great!!!!
I will get some wheel trims for now, I suppose.
Wife wants us to take the van up to sunny Scotland for Christmas with the outlaws.
Best I sort out an engine, although the 660cc does sound great.

Re: Alloy wheels!!
Rochdale to scotland, your legs will be aching if its anything like my hijet mpv. I did crewe to middlesbourgh a couple of months ago and it felt a very long way at 65mph
Whats wrong with your engine? If your thinking of a swap my 1.3 16v petrol goes really well, very pleased with the performance for what it is but i'm thinking of building a hijet pickup with a 1.6 16v sportrak engine, maybe turbocharged to if i've not run out of money.
As your on pcd 110 like the rest of us, have a look at my late night post here -> https://hijet.forumotion.com/hijet-workshop-section-f3/solution-to-our-wheel-fitment-issues-t43.htm I've not tested this idea yet but on paper its a goer.

Re: Alloy wheels!!
Hi there,
With the options you have now given and the retro feel I am after....
What do think of these?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-SPORT-106-205-RALLYE-WHITE-STEEL-WHEEL-5-5x14_W0QQitemZ230300213348QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item359ef66064
Will they fit? (with the wobbly bolts)
Will I need to look at the speedo setup as well?

alloy wheels
Hi just saw the post with your thoughts on a big engine in a pick up when me and the missus were looking for a van on ebay we found a Bedford Rascal which outwardly is similar to the hijet and it had a 3 litre essex V6 fitted with a auto box and only looked like the back engine cowl had been modded to clear the rear of the heads, just looked its not on ebay anymore but it was having cooling probs as the rad is just in front of the motor like the hijet pick up! Still we were very tempted
