Re: You Want Alloys?
Those ones Logi posted the link to (March 7) have been relisted. Rather nice wheels but at £275 posted I don't think I'll be bidding. At this rate I think I'll be sticking to crappy plastic wheel trims

Re: You Want Alloys?
Snazzy wheels but hefty price given the condition. But if you nhave money to burn...

Out of interest, the listing has ended now but any idea if these would have fitted or are they for a later RX7 with a different stud pattern? Sold for 30 notes so I'll be feckin gutted if they were 4x110!

Re: You Want Alloys?
Noooooooooo! Actually, I thought there were some earlier one that had OEM 4x114.3 rather than 4x110. Whether true or not, that's what I'm telling myself...

Re: You Want Alloys?
You are a very bad man, Logi.
But, but, whatabout http://www.wheel-size.com/size/mazda/rx-7/1985/
This says a one model had 4x114.3s in 84 and 85 alongside the 'usual' 4x110 and then post 85 everything went 5 stud. Of course, I fully accept Google is full of pish! Still just trying to make myself feel better
Damn you!

It also says the 114.3 was for 14's, remind me again what size the wheels in question are.........

Re: You Want Alloys?
Logi, you really aren't helping with my grieving process.
Anyway, I've always thought gold wheels look rather gaudy. Vulgar even. Most unpleasant. Would have ruined the classy, sleek lines of my wee van...
Shuffles off, weeping gently...

Re: You Want Alloys?
And anyway, I've got some new plastic wheel trims that only sort of fit and look shit with the white (yeah really) steel rims beneath.
Now that, my friend, is CLASS.

Re: You Want Alloys?
It is much easier to get the front hub turned down Oldie, to the size of the recess in the wheel. It is easy to get a front hub in the chuck of a Lathe than to bore out the centre of the wheel. Plus if you decide to sell the wheels in the future to a Mazda owner then there is no problems.
If you have opened up the centre of the wheel it is not going to locate properly on the Mazda hub. If you want a couple of front hub flanges I can help you out with them so that you can get them modified and not have you van off the road while the hubs are being modified.
