Mighty quiet round here, winter warning
Hi Everyone
Just a little post to say hello and hope you've all had a reasonable chrimbo.
But a stark warning too...
On boxing day I had a call from one of the lads who buys parts off me - he has crashed his van in pretty heavily on the front end, to the point where he couldn't get his door open and the pedals have come down to the floor. He is OK but sad about his van.
Then this morning another local guy who I've done work on his van, he has drove into a raised bank due to driving down a hill which was sheet ice frozen, meaning he didn't make the corner. Not major damage but needs a front bumper.
So its that season again, frozen roads, people driving erratically, dark, windy.... so please go easy and stay safe!
I'm changing my tyres this afternoon as mine are to the bone!

I had a guy rear end me the other day. He was in a TR7. He skidded right under my back end. Only damage to me - broke the last little piece off the exhaust (the bit that comes out of the silencer, and smashed my fog light. Damage to him - my towbar went through his wind screen, Ha Ha

I know how you feel HJ plenty of prats down here that seem to think that they can drive the same way whatever the weather and they all seem to have modern cars to me so much for the cars being safer with better driving aids if the tossers behind the wheel go to sleep when they get in the car. Sorry rant over but they get my goat.

Re: Mighty quiet round here, winter warning
It's been quiet of late? Maybe everyone's hungover?
Was a bit wet here today, wee bit flooding, supposed to be shite tomorrow but tail off for the bells. Spent most of the day in the garage sorting out the van and fixing the Jag's back bumper. The van's back on the road so at least I head into 2014 with a working Sootyvan
Will even have a "What's In Yer Van" piccy tomorrow(haven't unloaded it yet)

I have nothing of value to add either, vans parked, haven't seen it in the last fortnight, getting ready for the fat mans arrival and I have the wife's car to MOT soon and the wee Toyota is due a service so no time for Sootyvan

Re: Mighty quiet round here, winter warning
not much to add here to..
the battery died a couple of weeks ago... replaced it and the van starts just fine again..even with -12.
my house had a big renovation new roof/floors/windows/solar panels/air refresh system..
things are done now and next month we will begin welding the arches on the van.
i hope to get it painted somewhere in januari
i will take loads of pictures

The Jet is doing fine. Driving it once a week without issues. VAT is due this month and I think she will pass. So nothing to write about, really. I'm still lurking this forum once in a while.

Can only see the first blank page? Could hazard a guess but think Karma Sutra may be incorrect!

I'll crop it for you small/low res screen users out there.
Pretty darn close. She's completely undressed in this one.

Just as exciting!....I must get out more! Has that got any extra sections that the pdf does not?

The pdf has missing sections. Did not have the time to check yet. It's a pity I sold that multi page scanner a few years ago, could have made a new and improved pdf.

Congrat with your manual. I also noticed it. It's was a bargain.

Well I don't think I need it. The PDF manuals are sufficient for me. I've now space to work on the car anyhow
