Re: engine drain plug coolant
Hi Dave. The white nylon drain plug is situated on the side of the
The Metal water pipe that connects to the Radiator with a Rubber Hose. You can take the hose off if and let it pour out if you are bit of a Sadist and like the water pouring down your arm or sleeve.
Bet you don't win that contest!!
Don't forget to introduce yourself on the Forum at Welcome to the Jungle (AKA THE MADHOUSE). You will find a more friendly welcome and help on here if you do. Details of your van, a little bit about you and the area you live or thereabouts. You may have a another Forum member lives near you who can help you out. You never know when you might need it.

Re: engine drain plug coolant
Dave first of you come on here with no introduction, a lazy "I Wanter" and absolutely can't be bothered to do any reading of the dozens of posts about Draining and Filling and Bleeding the Complete Cooling System of which there are dozens in the Hi-Jet Workshop Section and below it the Coolant System, Overheating and Head Gaskets.
Read through those instead of your bone idle attitude of I can't be bothered to look.
Would you like a cup of tea in bed as well - while you are reading the articles.??
There is a small number of us that try to help people out and I have spent thousands of hours having written nearly 4000 post over six years to help out people out.
But I really can't abide One Hit Wonders who come on here as I wanters or want to sell a load of old rubbish at sky high prices and can't be bothered to help themselves.

Re: engine drain plug coolant
Thank you Peter. I didn't want to tell him that. More fun to let him look underneath the engine for Scots Mist. But thank you for backing me up. If he reads the articles every one tells one to remove either the Plastic Plug or the Radiator Hose. But he seems to know better - - so get on with your search for the Unicorn.

Don't you just love it PFM when you get someone else to do a bit of research for themselves and us. It's under the Exhaust Manifold
as it happens but that's what happens when they get sarky with me. I can be far worse - as everyone knows.
Well done Sherlock Holmes. Good bit of Detective work.

Well that drain plug has been a well-kept secret - wish I'd known about it before.

Re: engine drain plug coolant
Highly jetted mentions it in his red lpg head gasket repair. If you don't tighten it properly/evenly it leaks. No spare gasket available. Best left alone?
