removal of heater facia

How easy is it to remove the facia where the heater controls, cig lighter etc is? How does the cig lighter fix into it?

Its very easy to remove, ease it with a flat screwdriver and the retaining clips at each corner give way no problem. The ciggi lighter has two wires to disconnect when you get the facia off.

Yup, but IIRC there is a phillips screw maybe just above the ashtray that you can only see with your head at about handbrake level. Bumps on ends of heater controls just pull off. Anyway, what are you looking for/planning to insert in that area?

Good one, just toying with the idea of making the i side a bit colour co ordinated. Seen it done on one in white and liked the modern look, mine would be blue same as outside. Just done internal door handles.

Not thinking about the steering column housing though, that for me is just a bit too much or the brake reservoir cover or mirror or console, you can take it a bit too far.
