Missing Engine Management Light

Oh dear, I took the instrument binnacle out of my van last night to get at the fuel pump relay, no drama. On taking a close look at the instruments and bulbs I find what should be the engine management light bulb is missing and its lens is blacked out. To me this says a huge amount about the establishment that's been issuing its MOT certificates for the last few years (I have them with the vans documents) as no mention has been made about the light not working "hear no evil, speak no evil etc". At least I have until October to replace/repair the warning light and then find the reason why it was disabled in the first place, there is no chance of it passing an MOT test here in Northern Ireland with the engine management light disabled.

There seems to be lots of reference on this forum to the diagnostic info available on the www.daihatsuhijet.co.uk website, I cant get it to open, anybody know if this site is down or has it been moved.

I've turned the site off.

Is there any way we can get the articles and place them on here? Can the site be downloaded and we can convert the pages into docs? So much valuable info on there be a great shame to waste the valuable time you spent putting it all together.

The wordpress install and its database are backed up on my PC.

Someone would need to re-install it all to pull out the content.

Problem is, is there is a security hole in the wordpress installation.

Every time you clean the malware out of it, it get re-infected within hours/days.

I have pumped 40 to 50 hours into resolving the security problems with it, only to get kicked back in the balls.

I have no time for this!

Would you be willing to let soneone else have a go if you could copy all the files on to a DVD?

Its not gone to waste while I'm still sitting on it!

I was earning money from adsense from the site, if I give away all the content then all my hardwork has gone to waste.

I will get it all back up, just not any day very soon.

I expect it to be done before, lets say easter.

I realise this is all very selfish of me. But we've all got to pay the bills.

For all the work you have put into supporting hijets and this site I dont think anyone could say you are selfish by a long shot! Totally agree its your property and for you to do with as you wish, including getting funds from it. Good on you. If you are intending to eventually get it back on line great, everyone has things like life and other distractions that get in the way unfortunately. Look forward to it getting back on line, as I said a fantastic resource and a shame malware has forced it to be taken off line.
