1300 EFI propshaft

I see the 1300 EFI propshaft is quite likely to fail. Well mine has! Or at least one of the universal joints has siezed up. Does anyone know if propshafts from earlier Hijets are the same.

Get in touch with your local Daihatsu dealer with your reg & chassis number.
Get them to check if your van has had a replacement propshaft as part of the 2008 recall.
If not you should be entitled to get a new propshaft fitted free under the recall.

Failing that contact emmabskin via this forum, as they break Hijet's.

Many thanks both. This afternoon I did phone the local dealer (who I've not contacted before) and they said the propshaft can be replaced on recall! Very good news! They will contact me when the part arrives and fit it free of charge.
