Gearbox options HC-E engine???
Hi. I'm wanting to put an 1.3 HC-E engine into my Hijet. I don't think 1.3 Hijets ever came to Australia so I was looking at getting a donor G102 Charade. I'm wondering what RWD manual boxes can be used with the HC-E? Is the the 1.3 Hijet box the only option?
I'd like to get a Hijet box from the UK, just not sure if anyone would ship one here or what it would cost. Does anyone know if there is another option? Did the box from the 1.3 Hijets get used in any other Daihatsu? My Hjiet is an '89. Any help would be very appreciated!
Thanks.

I don't think so.
The hijet gearbox is different to a rocky gearbox.
The hijet box has A weird bell housing so it sits straight when attached to a lean over hijet engine install.

Thanks! Hmmm... Hopefully I can find a way to get one sent here. Any rough idea of what one would weigh?

Closest similar box is the terios box but the bell housing means it will sit leaned over thus the top mount would be all wrong.
Also the terios has the chain driven transfer box bodged on the back.

Ah, I was wondering if the cb box might fit... That would be very handy!
