Yes, so far I'm very lucky! But always keep an eye out for trouble. You'll never know when disaster strikes.

Aangeboden wegens overcompleet / overstap op andere velgen: een set originele ATS classic velgen met naafdoppen en banden, steekmaat 4x114,3 voor bijvoorbeeld Nissan Cherry.

De velgen zijn 6J breed (staat lekker dik) en voorzien van 4 nette banden type Federal Formoza FD1 in de maat 175/60/13 77H met 4.1, 4.5, 5.2 en 5.2 mm profiel. Dot code van de banden is 1709. Banden hebben een fijne grip wat mij betreft en zijn behoorlijk slijtvast. Ventielen zijn goed, de banden blijven netjes op druk. De velgen zijn redelijk netjes voor wat betreft stoepschade, zie de foto's.

Bij voorkeur verkoop "as is". De velgen of banden kunnen ook los worden verkocht eventueel, maar dan wel per 4 stuks, geen losse velgen oid.

He had those for sale since 2014... Couldn't see the pictures anymore unfortunately. I've asked him if they're still available (pictures and wheels), I'll let you know if he responds.

A bit of a late response, but I was pretty busy last week. Thanks for asking! To bad that they were already gone but it is a nice to have thing. Not essential.

OK... it's been a while, but some things were done on the pickup a while ago.
To start, we've made a toolbox on the back. The small cabin gets filled up quickly when you are with 2 persons and you are picking up the groceries. So I wanted extra place storage that was protected from the rain. But it needed to match the look of the pick-up.

Unfortunately I can't find pictures from the start but here it is:

Here a detail how we made the locking mechanism. I started with a washer ring and with some grinding and welding we made a hook that locks the lid of the toolbox.

So now I had a toolbox which I could lock. But the black lid was looking kinda boring... So I decided to put the Daihatsu logo on the lid in the same color of the car. A colleague of mine has a machine to cut vinyl stickers so he made me some. 2 normal ones an 1 negative. We added one to the front and one on the tailgate of the pick-up.

Afterwards I've removed the one on the tailgate, because it was a little to big in my opinion.

Another thing that was bothering me, was the noise in the cabin. Especially when I was going 80kmh. The vibrations made the thin roof resonate at low frequency that wasn't pleasant to the ears. Sometimes I just opened up the window so the vibrating air could leave the cabin. (It's really small in there )

So to reduce the problem we removed the thin fabric from the roof. To get rid of the glue that was underneath was a real shitty job that took a lot of time. After that we glued some butyl sheets (I think it's called like that in English) to the roof. Although it's self sticking I glued it nevertheless with high quality glue. The reason why we did it is that the roof can become quite hot when the car is standing in the sun and you don't want the sealing to come down

So by adding the butyl I've added mass to the roof. This is important to get rid of low frequency. If you just add soft material you only reduce the high frequencies.

After the butyl was glued in, we covered it up with soft material which also was quite heavy for it's looks. We needed to remove some material at the places where the butyl was sitting otherwise the sealing wouldn't become nicely flat. I don't know how the rest of the interior will be so a finishing layer is still to come. It's easy to apply this afterwards.

What an excellent job you have done, finish is superb. Love the idea with the modified washers for hooks etc and I like the vinyl stickers etc

I replaced the head lining on my cab and I agree the glue and what was left off the original foam backing was a real pain to remove. Used some nice perforated headlining material with sound deadening insulation underneath it.

Did you apply 2 layers of headlining or was this a material that already existed out of 2 layers? Can you show us what you used?
Did you noticed a lot of improvement according to the noise you had in the cabin? (do you have a pickup of Van by the way)

Ohw.. And if anyone needs new Daihatsu stickers, than just ask. I need to pace an order to my colleague anyway

Mine was starting to be very grubby and the foam backing starting to degrade which made it difficult to remove. As for if it’s made a difference....don’t know as didn’t use van that much before I started the restoration. Search for Restoration of Skylark on here and you will find som3 pics of the headlining being done.

Ohw.. I forgot to tell you guys where the triangles from the toolbox are for. It probably doesn't make sense to you.
So as you might remember I have only 1 ramp underneath the wood bed that you can pull out when you lift up the license plate... Well... I think a picture says more than words. So have a look:

They are just Chinese replicas from the Honda Dax. For an original Honda you will pay around 2500 euro these are only 700 euro. And they were as good as new! It's fun do drive when the weather is good. And these have 4gears with manual clutch. The original Honda's had 3 semi automatic gears. A manual clutch is more fun in my opinion.

It's a nice idea to have a miniature version of your Carry. You ca put in a engine form the Dax. A brand new Chinese copy with gearbox costs around 300 euro's as I remember.
Would be a nice project If only I had unlimited time...

I also tried to fit a radio in the middle of the dashboard underneath the temperature control. Only the depth that you have over there is so small that almost no normal radio will fit. As I remember it was around 9cm.

I asked a friend if he had some old stuff laying around and I bought a lot of old car radio's just because there was one I liked, but he didn't want to sell it separately. Now I have a lot of vintage and mostly broken car radio's. 4 of them were even old tube radio's! So if anyone has an interest...

Eventually I ended up using an old Grundig FM radio that I've got from my friend
I did modify it a little to mach the car. I've put in green background light, changed the color of the needle, and made an AUX connection so I can connect my mp3 player.
I've made it in a way that when you plug in the mini jack, it disconnects the signal from the tuner and uses the signal form the mini jack to amplify.
And of course some pictures of the result!

haha as if I wouldn't know that you can fit a radio on top In my van I have the bump on top. But I didn't like the look. I found a plate to cover up the hole in the dashboard. Thought about making 2 cup holders over there. But I'm not sure about it.

I know the motocompo! It's made by Honda to fit in the old Honda Jazz. Would be a great combination to own. But these motocompo's are also crazy expensive and parts are hard to find. That is what held me back to buy one. So I ended up with Chinese junk. But as long as you don't drive them in the winter they won't rust away.
