Looks like you might be needing a few more bits and pieces then. Don't be afraid to ask. Love it. Oh sorry forgot to add. That's after Doctor Logi says that I can go back to work of course. Bless him!!

There's a good write up on a stateside forum about replacing pickup seats, cos they're not as easy as van ones .

Have you got a link to it or the forum name Logi?

Re: Hi-Jet Pick-up Project..
Hey,
I found your topic! I see that you also got an extra pair of hands. But please, don't pay her with beer, like I me for my dad
Your Pick-up doesn't look that bad. Hopefully no problems for MOT after you fixed your head lights. It is a very common problem. But is it cheaper to fix it like this then buy a good second hand replacement head light?
(Here in Holland I've payed 50euro max)
Keep up the good work and can't wait to see your progress and the ideas that you have in mind!

Re: Hi-Jet Pick-up Project..
Now that the screen is in i can start to put the dash back in, having fitted a new wiper motor and linkage and a new column switch/stalk assembly i thought it prudent to check the electrics....
lights..check
wipers..check
horn...check
washers...pump made a sound then water started dribbling down the bulkhead...blocked washer jet caused the pipe to blow off...easy fix with a strand of copper wire...check
Start the engine and let it warm up...run inside the house as it snowed heavily...
Snow stopped so back to the pick-up to check engine temp and heater/fan operation..nothing ...nada...neit..nowt...
I had noticed a coupe of loose connectors hanging around , so i tried to locate the fan plug to see if one of them matched up....can you spot the obvious?

I don't know the item number, but the picture above looks pretty familiar. The older 1.0l engine and the newer 1.3 use the same fan. So try to find one at your local junkyard if possible.
And yes, it is obvious

Fan ordered off the Bay of E...should be here Tomorrow or Friday...then i can continue to install the dash..
Re: Hi-Jet Pick-up Project..
Had a little time today between rain so i got on with putting the guts back in the Pick-up.
Fitted the new fan that i sourced on E-bay, installed the wipers and wiper arms and discovered that the washer pump was blocked. I had a quick look and found that the washer pump is removable from the reservoir. I reached in through the passenger seat side and twisted the pump down to release it from the horseshoe clip and just levered the pump out of the reservoir, it is secured in with a sealing grommet....the smell was revolting and gunge that can out looked like it had its own life force. The problem was self evident as the gauze on the pump was blocked with gunge. A quick rinse under the hot water tap and everything was put back in true Haynes manual manor ie "reassembly is the reverse of removal"...result working washers.
I refitted the dash and most of the plastics, refitted the carpet ( this has had a couple of washes and vacuums...it looks like a carpet now rather than a dried river bed) then installed the headlights ( i'd sorted out the reflectors last week) headlight trim and finally indicators.
It occured to me that i'd never ran the engine up to temp. I'd bought the pick-up knowing most of its issues and was assured that the engine was sound. However i thought it about time i found out for myself....and its okay. left it running for 1/2 an hour, it got up to temp. the fan kicked in all pipes warm, no leaks or anything untoward...bonus. I'll keep an eye on things obviously but at least i don't have to put a motorcycle engine in yet :-)
Now ensues the obligatory pics :- ( hold your excitement )
