biggest problem you will have is keeping the heat when whelding away from everthing else, why not swap the 4x4 system on to a good van?

Don't think the panel above the grill is removable. It's all welding in to form the Monocoque.
I can cut some bits of a van if you want them, but you'll have to weld it up afterwards.

Are the vans and the pickups the same chassis? If so, could you just not buy a 4X4 hi-jet pickup, and plonk a van body on it?
(I image its not as easy at it sounds...(And i think someone may have all ready suggested it))

Ah. i remember when debating about hi-jets or Bedford rascal. someone said to me get a hi-jet as you can buy 4X4 kits for them. But apparently not that easily.

Make a new post mate, chances is everyone is thinking your still looking for a 4x4. I would imagine all panels are the same as a standard hijet anyway

The more I look at this, it looks pretty easy to pull the dash board out, wiper mechanism, and windscreen.
Then get some blocks and hammers etc, bash out the worst bits.
Weld up the holes.
Then filler it up, flat it back, then rattle can that panel.
Its a days work.
