Wow, nice one! I'd forgotten they had fibreglass bodies. Might take you a while to get it looking like the one in the pic though. What's your target, 6-8 weeks?

Pretty sure it'll be worth it however long it takes, if only for the 'grin factor' when driving it. Then you could park it in my dream classics garage alongside the VDP 4litre R and a DS or a SM.

I have never seen one of those before. You can see the American styling influence mixed with the British sports car.
What's the condition of the fiberglass body like?
And what motivated you to get it?

Not surprised a young whippersnapper like yourself hadnt heard of it, they only made just under 2500 in total.
The condition? Well, shite, absolute shite would be the best way to describe it.
The chance to own one, if you look up SP250s for sale youll see a good one is a wee bitty dear
( and a really good one is downright expensive )

Do hope the VDP wasn't scrapped. DS looks in need of some TLC. I was offered one when I was about 19 - went for a Morris Oxford instead, made around £100 profit when I sold it after enjoying it for a good while. Good luck with the Dart, sound like a mammoth resto.

I reckon the R was scrapped, it was a while ago
But nowadays there are some morons who will restore any old shite...
Somedays having a crane on the wagon is handy

Re: Seems quiet round here...
So your blatantly going to need your Hijet to collect all the Daimler bits you'll be hunting for up and down the country!
That might keep you off the streets and out of trouble for a wee while.
p.s. never spotted the hiab on your hijet

Flipping heck 38 bags of sand for a spidering old canoe with pram wheels.
If a cars worth restoring its that pile of car like components.
Bet some of your missing pieces are going to take some finding.
