over heating
Hi, had trouble logging in so havent been on for while. My hijet keeps overheating, any suggestions?
Can someone tell me where the thermostat is please? And the thermo fan sensor?
It's a 1993 hijet 1000 CC
Thanks

Re: over heating
stat is behind the passenger seat under the rear hump.
fan sensor i "think" is in the bottom of the radiator.
re-bleed up the coolant system first

Re: over heating
yes, the fan sensor is in the bottom of the rad.
as Leopard said, bleed the coolant system properly, and then leave your heater matrix on hot permanently, and preferably never fully shut the vents....
(fully left is shut, the next position is open, no fan...I left mine on that, unless I needed the additional cooling of the heater fan)....
EDIT:
Also, check your air filter....
if its dirty clean/replace it....
it might help...
I pretty much cured the overheating of my hijet by fitting a conical air filter.......
strange, but true....
