hijet rear wiper

Is there any way to check if the rear wiper moter is faulty. i cant seem to get it to work. it does not seem to be getting any power to it ??
i am loathe to buy a new moter and it still not work. thanks also would this be a fail on mot test..

No it wouldn't be a fail. Put 12v to it straight from the battery, if it still doesn't work, its broken.

Use a circuit tester on the connection to the wiper motor in the tailgate.
The wires tend to break where they go into the tailgate, through the rubber grommet.
The number plate lights on our van broke here, but it was easy to fix, once I found the break.

Hi our rear wiper doesn't work I have a spare and that don't work either I have three wires and 2 have power I couldn't even make either work a little bit just with a battery so I gave up and will worry about it later it doesn't affect the MOT.

Thanks for all your help. had a go again tonight to repair rear wiper even took wiper motor apart.. still no luck. no power to the motor so it seems like a wiring fault?? does this have seperate fuse i am on nightshift so here i am at 0357 getting fed up. thanks again..

You do realise they are earth switched? you should have power all the time to the motor, the switch gives it an earth to make the circuit, worth a try puting a cable from the motor back to earth
