Rear wiper Empty Rear wiper

Hello, this is going to sound super thick. But
can someone tell me how you turn the rear wiper on?
I understand they are super temperamental.
I know there is the switch between the fog light and the rear demister (which might also do to be looked at.)
but do front wipers need to be on at the same time in order to get rear wiper on?
