Possessed Rear Wiper
Hi there!
Before I start, I should probably state that I'm fairly hopeless with auto electrics.
Anyway - recently got a new Hijet, and the rear wiper wasn't working. identified that the both cables had snapped in the rubber boot thingy at the top of the boot. Easy enough job, re-connect them both use a connector block, and bam, wiper on.
However. Now I can't get the ruddy thing to turn off without disconnecting it at the motor. I have tried removing the switch at the front, still keeps on going! Also, if I remove the earthing cable (believe it is an earthing cable?) at the point I connected the two wires, the wiper goes to neutral and then stops.
How do I stop the blasted thing?!
Thanks!

So are most Auto Electricians I've met so don't feel too bad about that as wiper self parking wiring gets grown men crying.

Re: Possessed Rear Wiper
Inside a wiper motor, there is a disk in the gearbox.
It has copper tracks and some brush arms.
If a wiper won't park, it tends to be the arms or disk is messy.
Most of the time a bit of bodging gets them working again.
Rip it open and deal with it
I too would agree there is the possibility you have joined up wires incorrectly.
