squeaky belt
After parking on grass my hi jet belt had a squeak could this be due to moisture from grass at night ? soon stopped but was very noisy for a while. And has anyone ever added a shield or anything to prevent this happening ?
Re: squeaky belt
Does it squeak if you park it on a hard surface over night, the alternater might just be working hard to charge the battery too

Re: squeaky belt
Does it squeak if you replace the old worn out belt with a new properly tensioned one.

Re: squeaky belt
Logi and FrontBackSide2Side it has a new properly tensioned belt it only did it when i had parked for an evening on grass and just wondered if anyone had fitted any type of shield to prevent damp rising?
Re: squeaky belt
Did you leave a light on or something?
I would say that the belt is not tight enough if it ever squeaks.

Nothing left on HighlyJetted and not squeaked before or after; Just hope it doesn't when away camping.
