New to Forum looking to buy.
Hi everyone
I'm new here and always loved romahomes and bambi microcampers.
After have a hymer I'm now looking to view a romahome on a 2005 piaggio porter base 1.4cc but its quite a way away.
Any tips to ask when viewing?
I'm 69 this year but feel like most of us 20 years younger.
I live in West Sussex but there dont seem any local to me other than a Bambi.
I understand the differences between the 2 microvans and most people seem to go for romahomes...am I right in this?
Also in terms of repairs and upkeep can I just take it to a regular garage? Or does anyone know a romahome dealer or romahome mechanic etc who would be local to me in West Sussex.
I'm excited but a little wary as to whether I'm just crazy to even think about going down this route!!
Welcome your feedback...thankyou.

Re: New to Forum looking to buy.
Welcome Becky,
The 1.4 would be the diesel, they are not the fastest by a very long way. It's rare to find a mechanic who has experience of that Lombardini engine. You might find more help available on the Hijet Facebook page, not something I use though. Whereabouts is it?
