Well, I don't know if you can see the picture, but I need a pipe for the cooling system , the one under the seat that the rad cap connects to.

Have one for 996 Van but doesnt fit yours i think, this looks like a project to look for exchangeable parts, a piece from like an other car so you are done with looking for rare radcaps. Succes :p

Loads of old Jets and Porters on ebay going for spare parts. A few phone calls is your best bet

And a headache to replace. There are 8 or 9 hoses attached to it . Not a job for the faint hearted or high blood pressure sufferer or Beartraps for hands - like me. Rolling Eyes

Haha, yeah and I suppose RA isn't going to help me much either!
I was looking at it earlier thinking, oh I'll pop that off and see if I can do a quick "bodge" and gave up! Can't get to or see where the pipe disappears under the front, thought there was a drawing on here somewhere that shows the cooling system layout, but can't find it anywhere!

Your right, yours won't fit unfortunately, been doing random google searches to see of I can find anything similar, closest was the new one but would need to drill a hole in the tube and braise an inlet tube into it, also would need to extend rubber tubing on the front ... I f I can figure out where it goes and how to get it off, you'd think I'd remember from having it apart to do the head and clean the rad!

I have nicknamed the pipe "The Strangled Octopus". Because it has 8 pipes onto it. It wends it's way right down to within 8" of the radiator and ideally needs the front bumper taking off too. It is a good half days work to replace it and for a novice, allow a day to replace it.
Those Aluminum joiners you have found would be the easiest way round your problem. I have done a " cut and shut" on the radcap section before with a metal pipe before. It may not look too professional but still definitely an easier solution on the pocket and blood pressure.
