Engine replacement

Hello
I recently got a Hijet pickup 1988 in my life, beutiful little car...
But i have some problem to find service parts, seems like this model/ engine isnt eweryones favorit
Thisone is hardly working and going to need alot of work,
This is a s85 with Cb engine 993cc (1 595976) if im not completly wrong, i have found a CB60 engine with turbo, do enyone know if this engine would fit right in and with the old gearbox.
This is the first time i have worked with the classic Daihatsubrand.

Hi there and welcome, got myself an 993 engine too. Now its broken caused by a crack in cylinderhead. A replacement i couldnt fiind so bought me a complete 993 engine to replace.

The 993 engine is hijetspecific and got the cb 41 or cb42 cylinderblock. The cylinderhead is changeable with te 1.0 charade engine. Other parts wont. Gearbox wont fit caused by the horizontal engine placing in the hijet. Charade is vertical

Thanks for information, ill be looking for a spare 993 then.
It would be nice to get this one running to the summer.
