1300 EFI MPV for sale
Hi all
I am now going to sell the little one.
A shame really but not got a use for it anymore.
I took it off the road feb 2014 to do some work on it, but never did get the chance.
It was a perfect runner with no issues, I just wanted to fully service and bring it up to scratch. I have spent about £800 on it so far.
It is a 1300 EFI and a really nice engine. The style is MPV with twin sunroof. I replaced a few very expensive bits - rear indicator cluster and a wing mirror and one headlight. I have fitted two new rad caps. All seats are in perfect condition! Carpets too.
The sliding doors need new bearings - I have them and it was going to be part of the restoration. the left sliding door could do with a new inside panel made up. There is a big hole in the rear wheel arch which I was going to weld up - just not done. It needs a new battery as well. Er - a new exhaust would be good, the one fitted is sound but a bit tatty. I was going to throw a lot of money at it!
Now then - I bought it as a project for £1300 late 2013 but I work away from home so much that it sat on the back burner. I can get it running and sell as a runner if required. I will get it up on sticks and make sure it is all good - brakes etc.
I am open to offers as it is - around £800?, or I will do the necessary and get it MOT'd and sell at around £1000.
If anyone is interested I will post full details.
Let me know......
Marcus

You won't easily get £800 for a hijet with no MOT and needing welding.
You will easily get £1000 for a good Hijet with an MOT.
You never say what year it is, and how many miles its done, or what colour it is.

It is T reg Blue with crappy white stripes over the top - which are flaking off now!
Just over 108,000 miles on clock.

Not the best photo - can take better if required.
Any offers as is with no MOT?

Just realised I had these in PhotoBucket.......

This was when I got it. Close inspection on these pics show knackered RH mirror and indicators. These have been replaced as was one of the rear light clusters.

Marcus only just noticed your local to me, I will swap your passengers side mirror for a matching knackered one?
Get the work done so it ends up on the road and not scrap heap please.

Ok - Decided......
I don't have a workshop or a garage and the little one needs a bit of work underneath.
It's not shot to bits or falling apart, but it needs a tidy up.
Too much work and time for me. Yes I can do it, but it will take me months.
I have other things to do........
So - £600 and it's yours. It cost me £1200 but will take the hit. I have 2 other cars and need the space.
Collect on a trailer.......
I just started it up - brum! 1st time! Engine is sweet.........very sweet.
Love the little thing and wanted to do so much to it, but time........
I have fitted a rev counter - bit big but hey......it's a nice one!
Buzz me or text.... 07593 834188
I will not break it for spares - so no - you can't have bits off it!
To one of you guys it will be on the road in no time. So it has to be complete.
All mirrors and lights are good.
Seats are perfect. Door screen rear left shot to bits - easy fix.
Door handles and winders all good (actually have a replacement for one inner rear door).
Sliding doors need bearings replaced - got them.
Needs new battery.
Needs new exhaust system.
About it I think?
If no offers soon - it will be stripped down and scrapped.
THEN you can have bits!
I don't want to do that - it is a great little buggy.

Some pics......
As you can see - I have the big boy Delica to look after and the Galaxy behind.
The rev counter - it lights up in many different colours! Plus the rev alert indicator which can be set as required.
It has been very handy for storing 'working on cars stuff'.
And of course the hole - a big hole!
It shouldn't take much to patch that up. I was going to do it myself, but my welding kit got nicked......B'stards.

Is that 'small' hole the only bit you mention that needs welding? Not knowing these vans intemately what is the pipe/bar that looping up to space that should be metal? PS maybe I'm sad but I like the white stripes! Would need to find out who could trailer this up to me, I'm in Yorkshire so cost of that may out weigh van.

Mmm Yorkshire is a bit of distance and not an easy drive.
The little bar you refer to is just the rear seat locking point.
That is the only area I have found in a bad state. I didn't see it when I bought it.
It would just take a few short strips of steel to repair and that seat anchor point should be thick steel.
The wagon is a runner - I used it until the Tax expired and then the MOT did as well of course.
To put it back on the road wouldn't take much, but I am a bit picky. Make do is not enough for me.....I would strip the brakes out for one thing. Then I know what the condition they are in. Stopping is quite important! LOL!
£600 is half it's on the road worth and the parts alone are worth mega bucks!
If you are new to these things you need to understand that parts are rare as hens teeth and very expensive even 2nd hand.
This one has all the good bits in good condition - it just need a bit of TLC.
The exhaust is ok, but it will need replacing soon. It's not blowing, but the tail end has gone and the rest is ish.

Thanks, shame about the distance. Yes, already realised about the parts availability but I accept that. Just looked on map and you are further than I thought, didnt think Swindon was that far away. Think I will be still be on the look out up here somehow, shame, like the loom of it.
