Coolant pipe popped off engine
Hi There
Had a lot of problems with my engine (2001 petrol 1300cc) overheating. Last time all the coolant came out the bottom and after investigation I found a coolant pipe behind the passenger seat had popped off the engine. There is no thread or way of securing the pipe to the engine and seems just to push on, once the temp rises it pops off again. Any ideas? Ive sealed it with plumbers tape and it made it home.
Cheers

Re: Coolant pipe popped off engine
Not knowing if this item should be fixed into position or not?
To fix it in place the two choices you have are
1. A permanent thread locker (Loctite 263, 272)
2. JB weld/ metal weld (two part epoxy)
Before using either of them make sure the surfaces are very clean. Rough up the surfaces slightly and i mean on slightly as this will aid grip for the fixant. Ensure you give as much time as possible for it cure (24hrs) before filling and using.

Hi guys. I have exactly the same issue in my Dajsu. After third flash, the bloody thing decided to pop out. Which one did you go for? And did it fix the problem for good?
