Hello, Hijet owner from cheshire
Thought i'd say hello to fellow Hijetters, hope you enjoy your silly little van as much as I like mine.
Its the most usefull machine i've owned while still being great on the fuel. Mines a 1.3 mpv one but all the rear is empty for building my house with. I've had to weld all four inner wings for the last MOT but appart from that its doing OK, hope it slows down rotting! I fancy owning a supercarry next as they have more leg room aparently? But I'm hooked on rwd minvans. They rock.
Good luck populating the forum, maybe open it to all Mini vans as well to increase the community.
P.s. There are more wheels to fit the hijet than I think people realise:-

R100, RX-2, RX-3, RX-4, older 929s, RWD 323s, RWD 626s and Series 1/2 RX-7
Stud pattern = 4x110 PCD
Offset = +20
NOTE: 70s European cars such as Escorts and Saabs which appear to fit are actually 4x108 PCD.
These are Australian figures, right? Because the 12A American *Series 3 RX-7s were also

Re: Hello, Hijet owner from cheshire
hmmmm.. maybe worth creating a sticky in workshop section with collected rim specs.. i'll add one in after work today.
PS welcome to the site.
if the site grows, i know i will have to move it to a dedicated server, when we do that i will look at adding other manufacturers.
Suzuki do have a very good site for the carry's. i am a member there too (Leopard_Pagan)..

I saw that last night, it made me grin. Your a man of good taste in vehicals it seems. I'm just selling my cb500 as I'm buying a house, its on ebay actually (the bike)... but next summer I quite fancy a cbr400 or a 600 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170390599829&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
Next thing is to mix up the bike with the van and get a bike engined drift bus

"Your a man of good taste"
>i could be picky and mention that i'm a woman..... i wont hold it against ya.
BUT.. pop the bike/link in the sale section mate, i know its not a Hijet but i dont mind.
CBR400 is bullet proof, yes its old but if you find a well looked after one, you wont have problems.. same for any vehicle really.

Assumption is the mother of all f*** ups!!!
I'm looking at changing my MPV hijet as fancy one with better paintwork, plus I'd like a LPG one with nice paintwork as I'm looking at getting some graffics done to advertise my kitchen, bathroom and tiling services once I've finnished building my house. Mines a bit scabby and I'd prefer to have less windows to brake. Hopefully after a few good jobs I'll be able to afford a new crotch rocket to play with in the sunshine

windows can be replaced with "panels" but youd still have the rubber seal.
i guess id be weighing up the cost of a new(ish) van, graphics as to getting the one you have re-sprayed, tarted up. vinyl decals are cheap (loads of companies on ebay/google) these days and you can put them on piss easy your self.. so long as your patient!

Using 2 tanks of petrol a week the LPG setup will save a few quid a month hopefully. I've never found resprays to be either cost effective nor long lasting in finnish. Definately a DIY job on the vinyl laying, I'll be there with my squigy and soapy water whistling away to classic FM.
