Peugeot 407 electric PAS

Does anyone have any experiance with the electric power steering pump that are fitted to late 1.9 HDi engines my father in laws one is pumping out fluid where it shouldn't and the dealer has quoted a grand to fix it, I haven't seen it yet as he's not local to me but will see it later this week.

Fraid not, but the ones on the 106 do a similar leaking failure from the pump, which is easily solved with a second hand pump and 25 minutes. Oh plus stinking of bloody PAS oil.

Having no PAS on a hijet gives us one less headache.

the reg won't help it's been transfered to a private plate having a look wednesday so will let you know once I have had a look but it is a 2008 1.9 hdi 407 sw.

Private reg is fine as our system is linked in with the dvla. Let me know the reg and I can check out some prices. Have acsess to the Peugeot main dealer site too
