Seats - the same in 1.0/1.3?
There's a set of seats on eBay, and they're within reasonable driving distance, but they're from a 2003 1.3, and my HiJet is a 98 1.0. Are the fittings the same? Please please say they are

The fella is being....interesting about them. He phoned, asked me what I wanted to offer, so I made him an offer, and he said.....I'll think about it. So I said "Well, what would it take to get a yes?" and offered him a bit more, and he said "Ummm, no, I'm going to think about it. I'll get back to you". It's almost as if he's not sure he wants to sell them? He did tell me he paid £200 for them a couple of years ago, so maybe he was hoping I'd offer that.

I really never anticipated it would be this difficult to buy a set. Sellers on eBay won't offer a price, breakers won't reply to requests to buy them, is it a conspiracy?

A bit of prod got me a deal at £120. More than I'd have wanted to pay, but it was becoming a real problem for me that I couldn't transport my kids.

I sold my rear bench seats for £40 the lot. And they were immaculate, pretty much never used. Not one mark or tear in them.

Well, I guess that equates really; I got all six seats for £120, plus all the belts, and a set of doorcards for the rear (mine are mullered, and these have speakers).

It's the difference between want & need, if i wanted seats i wouldn't pay that, but, if i needed them...

They do indeed fit, though I discovered that one of the captive nuts for the rear seats is awol in my floor. Yes, it was the need thing. I was having to borrow a car to transport my kids at weekends.

Yeah some of mine broke away when I removed my seats, I think they are prone to rust from road scum under the boot floor.
Re: Seats - the same in 1.0/1.3?
Any idea how best to replace them? I guess I need a nut, a big washer, and someone who's really good at welding?

Cable ties? Superglue? Gripfill? Hope and Luck?
Maybe drill some new holes and bolt it through the floor, put the holes somewhere you can reach on the underside?
Just some ideas?! Good Luck!
Maybe use a really strong magnet?
Or just put that much crap in the back that the seats can't move anywhere?

use rivnuts you can get them cheap on ebay use steel ones for seats and you don't need the tool a long bolt a washer and a nut will suffice and it will be the quickest option.
