disc removal?

Right I have an idea I will share later but first I need to do some checking out.

Has anyone taken the front discs off?

I have just been looking at the front brake as last MOT low pads were mentioned and as I have bought some and found that they are not so low as I tought I will change them at a later point when needed.

I have looked at the manuel and it looks like the bolts that hold the discs on thread into the disc itself as the expolded view does not show any nuts on the back can anyone confirm this either way?
