Micro camper Empty Micro camper

Post by Judith Marson Sat Jul 07, 2018 11:34 pm

Hi my name is Judith I have bought a diahtsu micro van. It is 1999 model. I don't know anything about them. I just thought the size is ok to drive. I've booked it into a garage that knows about them and hoping they can sort things out for me. I can't get water gas or electrics to work. I've also booked it into another garage to check it over. It has a mot until February so I'm hoping there's not too much wrong. I love it and just want to get in and go when I feel like it but until everything is checked I don't want to go far. Can anyone give me advice on campsites that aren't too expensive. I did go to Filey last week for a couple of nights. I live near York.

Hi Judith, welcome to the club! Unfortunately not from round your way so can't advise on any campsites. Funnily enough though, I'm at Flamborough with my van this weekend. Love the east coast and filey

Hi thanks for your reply I think I will try Flamborough as I've never been there. Was it a good campsite with all the facilities?

Do you mind me asking if it's worth joining the caravan club. Do you save much money ?

Hi Judith,

Sorry only just seen your message. I'm not in the caravan club so not really sure what savings there are.

On another note,

Not sure if you've seen that there's a Hijet meet happening on 19th August (details are in the "whats on" topic section). Its in Holmfirth and there are a few campsites in the area if you wanted to make a visit of it (Stay over on the 18th?)
