Paint Code
Hi guys, I have a 1999 1.3 efi and need some matching paint, it's dark blue. I found the code A01 and had it made up but it's far too light. Any ideas?

He he. Don't think that's the problem, think the code is wrong, didn't know if anybody might have the "correct' one?

Re: Paint Code
Sounds like you need to find a supplier with a Paint Spectrum Analyser to match your needs.

Re: Paint Code
If it's dark blue, non-metallic, it is likely to be Daihatsu River Blue Code B33. If it's metallic apparently there's lots of different blue's.
BTW, I've had cans of B33 mixed by Halfords. I found it an excellent match and it's superior to most other rattle-cans I've used. The spray nozzle is adjustable for pattern, vertical or horizontal and Halfords seem to pressurise the can higher than off the shelf cans. Be aware Halfords is stopping in-store mixing in the next 4-6 months. Instead you will be able to order direct from the manufacturer on the Internet and pick it up from Halfords next day. (Apparently it takes too long to mix paint in-store to make it viable).

Thanks Logi and Biofos. It was Halfords. Mine's a metallic dark blue. Tried AO1 and B33 but not correct, anyone else have any other codes I could try?

Alternator rectifier
Hi team, with my limited knowledge I'm pretty sure the diodes have gone in my alternator. It's throwing out over 14v but I'm also getting an a.c. reading at the battery, which is also draining quickly. Trying to keep costs down so does any one know a supplier for the rectifier pack? Cheers.

Re: Paint Code
Non anymore, I needed paint for a blue one a few years ago.
Friendly with the local paint place, spent an hour digging though various paint catalogue comparing the colour swab samples.
Turned out to be a bit of an interesting guessing game.

Re: Paint Code
I had a repair done on my MPV and I went into Newport with Roy who does any paint jobs for me and the best match the paint supplier found for mine, was a Skoda colour.
