oil change

Hi does any one know how many litres of oil a 993cc cb42 engine takes as I cant find it in the manuel and as I've used some out of he bottle for top ups I don't know if I have enough left for a change.

get a new one just in case, pour in half, check the dip stick, pour in half. check stick again.. and so on until the stick reads between the lines. its what i do.
warm the engine for a few mins to warm the oil. this means it drains quicker.

The CB42 takes 2.9L oil without changing the oil filter; 3.1L oil if the oil filter is changed as well.

Ta Bushwhacker I use the same oil in the van and car at least I know if I have opened a bottle for a top up I know if I have enough left for a change.
