Lambda sensors
I was wondering, are the 2 lambda sensors on my van the same as each other? I.e can I swap them round? I'm still having trouble with a misfire and the lambda sensor fault code is the one that I am getting so I want to see if I can move the fault proving a faulty sensor.

Re: Lambda sensors
The lambda code can be a result of the misfire.
However lambdas usually are identical.

Re: Lambda sensors
It doesnt seem to matter if its warm or cold but its worse under load (going up a hill etc) If i'm driving on the flat at part throttle its not really noticable.

Re: Lambda sensors
Coil packs, the rubbers/leads that take the spark to the plugs - that would be my first angle of attack.
Re: Lambda sensors
I tested the rubbers/leads and they all measured around 1 ohm except one which i couldn't get a reading on so i changed it. The replacement measured near as damn it 0 ohms. Would 1 ohm for the other 3 be ok? I tested the coil packs and they were all in tolerance.

Re: Lambda sensors
Take a look on valve lash.
I spent hours and hours to check, set and replace ignition parts on mine due to a misfire on LPG, last week I checked valve lash, I had two exhaust valve with no play...
Done the setting, no one more misfire.

Re: Lambda sensors
That would cause your persistent misfire El_ventu.
You have been trying to cure this for what must be 2 years now.

Re: Lambda sensors

Re: Lambda sensors
Its the one in the manifold its snapped off but she runs fine but could be to do with my new stainless steel cat and exhaust system i just had fitted.
Re: Lambda sensors
Also your engine warning light should be on.
Does your engine warning light actually work?

Re: Lambda sensors
It should come on when you first turn your ignition on.
But people take them out as they are rogue!
They also go pop if its been on constantly for years.
They also pop when some one deliberately connects the bulb to a battery charger.
