Piaggio Porter - Daihatsu Hijet S reg

Hi all,
I have for sale, a Piaggio Porter mini van. Same as the diahatsu hijet.
This is the 1.4 diesel van
It is the mini van version with back seats and windows.
The van is in good condition bodywork wise.
This is an s reg vehicle,
Now it has the 1.4 lombardini engine in, which has gone pop.
It did still run, but knocking very badly and leaking oil.

This van comes with another engine 1.2diesel which was in excellent working condition when it was removed, only had 40k on it.

We were going to be converting this van into a camper / day van. Unfortunatly circumstances have changed and the van sadly has to go

The van is located in Chorley Lancashire

None of either I'm afraid. It was mot'd when when we bought it!!

Put them on ebay in two different auctions - the engine, and the van.

Might have too, ideally wanted to sell them together! And just recoup what I spent on them!!

Did you find out if the 1200 fitted?

I ve done lots of research and from what I can find I know it fits on the mounts and fits on the box, by all accounts the wiring matches as well!! I'm just gutted that I've got to sell it without doin it's make over!!!

Half the time, advertising Hijets on a Hijet owners forum is a bit like trying to sell ice to Eskimos.

Someone will give you good money for the engine but it might take a little while for them to turn up - so get it on ebay.

Some idiot will buy the van, be smart with your description and you may get more for the pair than you were expecting.
