Rubbing / rumbling sound
Last time I used the 'jet I very vaguely heard a rubbing or possibly rumbling sound just above the radio. It didn't do it all the time and I couldn't turn the radio off to hear better ( too far away for safety and buttons too small for my fingers).
It may also have sounded a bit like a slap but I wasn't sure.
I checked the propshaft Tuesday but it doesn't seem to have any play although I was unsure how much force to use. (I could only get to the front of it).
I drove the car again today but didn't hear anything.
Any ideas what this may be?

Take the shaft off and check it, mine's started with a wee rumble, it was seizing up.

Re: Rubbing / rumbling sound
check the front wheels off the ground as I have had probs with the drivers side main nut coming undone I need to check it again but it seems to have been the bearings going dry as no play in the bearings it was the hub moving on the shaft splines.

I've had strange noises also from front hubs coming loose. Hijet noises seem to vibrate all around the vehicle which makes them hard to pin point.
