what engine oil ???

hi folks, i know this sounds a silly question, just covered about 360 miles in last 3 days, north ,west and south scotland, muddy mountain bikes and large smiles, noted engine oil light coming on when cornering on the return journey!!!, looked at dip stick and its showing low level, now most people would pop in to supermarket and pick up 20/50 30/50 or what ever motor oil, but is our little machines any different, if so can any body recomend a decent type, grade, cheers , will put the van in for another service soon , but would like to top it up as soon as..... cheers bones 851

10/40W semi synth is what i picked up the other day. not put it in yet.

I've used 10/40 in ours with no problems, at the moment I'm using Castrol GTX 15/40 & that seems fine too.

Hi I'm running 20/50 asda special as the owners book says you can do what you like but next service will have 10/40 and a new filter.
