Shocks for 1.3 pickup
been looking for some aftermarket shock absorbers for my 1.3 02 plate big deck pick up.
They don't seem to exist. I don't want to pay main dealer prices and I'm not keen on fitting second hand unless i have to.
Any ideas / help apprciated.

I have, both!
Unfortunately neither they, nor my local factors, or my local jap parts specialist could source any.
Checked the KYB online listing and it seems they don't make them for this vehicle.
Seems its main dealer or second hand.

Is the big deck one the twin wheeler? Are they different from the vans?

Re: Shocks for 1.3 pickup
Been there before.
Aftermarket shock absorbers not available for the S85 but are available for the earlier vans (S84? not sure but were 850cc I think). Unfortunately, they are not even available for the S85 as straight shock absorbers at the front as they come as a complete suspension leg assembly (the left being different from the right and a different price). The rears on the van were straight shock absorbers and were about £45 I think.
You may be able to get them through the trade, at a lower price, which is what happened in my case but it depends on the company you deal with.
The S85 comes as van or pickup so the above should hold true in your case with possible slight difference in pricing.

Re: Shocks for 1.3 pickup
No idea about part numbers I am afraid as the invoice doesn't show them.
It was done in 2006 with supply and fit costing £319.70 for the front pair. I believe they sourced the parts from Daihatsu which is what firms usually say they do.

Re: Shocks for 1.3 pickup
I can give you the part numbers for the big deck, I have the fully parts lists sheets and diagrams for it.
Actually, I tell I lie, looking now I have the full parts break down for the S90 Maxi, which is the face lifted big deck I think.
The piaggio part number is B000032 for the dampers

Re: Shocks for 1.3 pickup
You could always send a knackard/spare one to dampertec/GAZ who would make you some nice custom ones.

Wow, that's cheap
