immobiliser problem
I have a hijet efi and after last nights downpour it wouldnt start this morning. The immobiliser light wouldnt go out at first, then it did but the fuel appeared to be cut off and the engine stalled. Anyone know how to sort this? or bypass it as I'm not bothered about having one, it appears to be the factory fitted one. Your help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Didn't know they had them factory fitted!
Try and bridge it out before you cut it all out, it will probably be keyed into the ignition barrel's wiring.

Re: immobiliser problem
When I bought an ex-demo 2003 Extol, the guy was trying to convince me it had an immobilizer fitted. I looked at the key fob and asked him how I'd operate it as there were no buttons. He said it worked on proximity!
Well those keys went in the safe and we ran it using plain metal cut keys and never got locked out!
