Temperature gauge Empty Temperature gauge

Post by Ilikecheese Sun Jun 25, 2023 2:23 pm

Hi, the temp gauge on the dash doesn't work, Speedo and fuel work fine. Is this fixable? Worried about overheating issues! Thanks

It's probably the sender, but could be the wiring or the gauge itself.

Temperature gauge Empty Alarm

Post by bob.prior Thu Feb 15, 2024 1:59 pm

Hi PFM
I've recently had overheating issues and now i think its finally fixed. I'm now thinking of buying an Overheating alarm, they are over £100 but think its worth it as i have been caught out 4 times since my problems and i think I've got away with not blowing the head gasket. You can buy them with two sensors and set them to low and high, which would be useful because my bottom hose didn't warm up so the fan didn't kick in. Looked online and you don't even have to plumb in just bolt it to the engine or secure it to the cooling system
