Hi everybody. 1984 hijet 850cc

Hi, I recently bought a 1984 hijet 850cc romahome. I've been digging through the Internet and I'm quickly realising that I may have the only one left! What a responsibility. Does anyone have any info regarding, well anything to do with it really? Service books are impossible to find. Is the engine in a different car I can get service info for? Im starting from zero so anything would be appreciated. I fell in love with this little truck and I'm determined to get it back to its former glory. Thanks.

Good luck with that, there was someone on the Facebook forum that had an 850 van they sorted.

What Raggy isn't telling you is that the 993 engine should fit...according to information on the facebook group.
Raggy won't tell you that because he wants a spare and it's a narrow field.

If I knew that I would have given it as an option for, I'm all up for helping any one out, whether I needed a spare engine or not! So try not to malign any one on here with idiotic statements. And I have a spare engine anyway!

I wouldn't be surprised if certain parts change over. However, nothing is guaranteed. There are some good manuals in the tech docs section though, that cover quite a few models. There should be an engine manual applicable to your vehicle, at least!
