Low Mileage 1988 850cc Hijet Van for sale

Hi guys,

Just giving you advance warning that we will shortly be putting up my father in laws Hi Jet up for sale due to bereavement.

It was supposedly one of the first imported into the uk and has only covered 60 something thousand miles.

He had it from new for his joinery business, but he retired over 20 years ago and since then it has only done a few hundred miles a year.

It has been regularly serviced and has a current MOT, just a few minor advisories last time, such as a bit of pinholing on the tailpipe and some minor corrosion on the lower inch of the rear arch.

Anyone interested? With sensible offers?

Will do a detail, then get some pictures up, really after a bit of advice on here re price as it is a tidy low mileage very early van and really want to get the best I can for my mother in law. It has never missed a beat all its life and would be nice to go to someone who is going to look after it

Depending how presentable and tidy it is, between maybe £500 to £800.

There are not many people out there who desire for old Hijets.

All hijet buyers are at best, pretty cheap people !

the prices for hijets in the uk is a lott less than it would be in the netherlands
i think this van would sell easily for 1700-2000 euro over here.

Looking at the photos it is in pretty remarkable condition for its age.

I'd advertise if for £1450 and see if I get any takers.

Obviously things are really worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And people often think something is worth what they want to sell it for.

Good luck, and it is a pretty rare commodity at that age in that condition. Which is a pro and a con in one, as getting parts for that age of van will be very tough.

Cheers matey, It has been cherished for all of its life and how many vans remain garaged for this long, hopefully in terms of parts it wont really need much
