Exhaust front section 1.3 ZAPS85V
The front section has lasted remarkably long wrapped in tape but it probably won't last much longer. It's a 1999 1.3 Petrol/LPG van and I think I need part number 17420-87521-00 or similar.
I can find equivalents for the pickup (Klarius 322124) but not for the van. Are they significantly different (ie. can it be made to fit) or is there some secret source I don't know about?

So, what do folks do when they need a new exhaust?

Don't think anyone's ever needed a front pipe before on here?

I haven't, and can't recall anyone mentioning it before.

Give Neil Farrier at Regis Exhausts a call. He makes quality systems to order at reasonable prices. His phone number is

There have been some posts in the past.
One says he used a pickup exhaust front pipe but had to cut two inches off to make it fit.
I was told by a Daihatsu parts man when I needed a complete new system to get a stainless steel one fabricated for the vehicle as it would be cheaper. It was about half the price.

Definitely BW. I have got a full Stainless System on mine. It gives the most lovely deep exhaust note and crackle on overun.

I think mine was listed as a mild sports note. I wasn't bothered, I just wanted a decent exhaust system to pass the MOT!

The Regis exhausts bloke is good, he has all the different Hijet systems on the shelf.

Excellent, glad someone asked as I think I'll be needing a new exhaust in the new year, the front section is successfully held together with dog food cans but I'm not sure if that will pass the mot!

Well, after some effort getting in contact, I got the exhaust from Regis. It arrived quickly but turns out it's a BM90940 from BM Catalysts and is for a pickup. The garage had some fun and games making it fit.
