You know the head gasket has gone when....

..... it has blown the pipe hex fitting out of the cylinder head for the idle control valve feed:-



So I put it back in, filled it full of water.

Then cranked it over, and immediately the coolant pipes went rock hard and it spewed its coolant into the header tank -just on the starter motor.

This one is the most buggered one I have seen so far!

Van is in nice condition, but the coolant system is knackard.
