Nice! Just need some nice grey or black smart car seats to finish it all off.
Re: made new door cards
Yeah, got some Mazda MX5 seats to possibly fit, need to have a low base or your legs wont fit under the steering wheel lol

Re: made new door cards
Just covered yhe originals as they are in good condition, but because the panels are thicker after carpeting, i had to screw them on with self tapping screws
Unfortunatly it seems the pictures have had the sides cut off them when i copied the links from my facebook so you cant see the entire panels

Sorry but I'm not fussed on carpeted door cards
I would've sprayed them with 'Plastidip'.
ps
not being funny, just being honest.

Re: made new door cards
I have just brought pvc coated cloth to do my door cards with ( probably won't get round to doing them for a while though as suddenly got loads of other stuff come up, typical !! ) what is plastidip ?? Could i spray my seats with it ?? They are vinyl rather than cloth...at a glance they look like cloth but def plastic seat. Just wondered if this stuff would work or would it come off on my clothes ??

ahh, plasti dip is a wonderful thing
its basically a film/shrink wrap you can use to change the color of hard materials, dashboards etc

The seats in my van are rubbish. Drivers seat foam is so saggy it tips you forward. Reading this thread and did a quick search for some MX5 seats and found these close to where I live... speakers in headrests but brown and ripped. hmmmm....

Re: made new door cards
I've just fitted seats from a mk2 Toyota MR2, fit really well without much modifications and are extremely comfy with lots of adjustment
Re: made new door cards
Thats what i've got in mine. How did you fit yours? I used the original hijet frame and put the foam and covers on that. Might be a bit different for you but space is very limited in the pickups.

Re: made new door cards
Seats look good Andy. Did Julian fit them ?
Was good to meet you the other day You probably didn't notice my van when you drove up as it was parked up along side the building opposite which is brown so it was pretty well camoflaged, it's filthy at the moment as I had been doing quite a lot of driving around lanes.
I see you are obviously a musician.....do you ever play at the white horse as your face looked familiar

Yes, and got him to weld the sills whilst at it. I had a look on the way out and still didnt see yours; must be going blind.
Im not sure if weve played at the white horse? Where is that? Thurnham?
We play a lot at the Lower Bell and Dog and Gun in Maidstone. the band is called The Choos...soul, funk etc.
Have a listen!

Re: made new door cards
I hopped straight in my van & drove off so it would have been gone when you came out. The white horse is on the london rd maidstone. Its the black horse at thurnham. The white horse has loads of music & an open mic night on a Sunday. Other than that we drink in the first & last that also have bands. If youve not played in the white horse you should pop in one day & speak to Lee the landlird, he loves soul/funk. He plays in the funky soul reagee band. He would more than likely give you a booking. Ive heard of the choos. But then I go I alot of pubs for work & may have seen the name on that leaflet w2 or w3 whatever its called.
Julian is really good & a good price. He has been working on our cars fir a couple of years now after I met him at setyres & he over heard them giving me a price to do my brakes, he stepped outside & passed me his card then done my brakes for half the price
