Running on 1
Although even that is not strictly true. I can hardly walk -- let alone run and if I did it would be in ever decreasing circles. ( Can't wait for Logi's comment ).
On 19th January I fell down my stairs at the Workshop and ended up in a
crumpled heap at the bottom with my left foot halfway up my back.
The result was a ruptured thigh muscle torn above the knee. Its going to be 6-8 weeks to recover, provided I don't do any more damage.
I can't get into a Hi-Jet as I can't bend my knee so most of the time my wife or son have been acting Taxi Drivers. So all aspects of getting about are a pain to say the least.
So apologies to any of you waiting for bits and those that have waited patiently. I have just ( at this time ) three more orders to catch up with
which I should achieve tomorrow. Thanks again everyone your patience.
Woody.

Re: Running on 1
Yes it's not very good on the surface of things waz but I really love what I do workwise and that's a great plus -- I
look forward to going into work.
OK I have got a large spanner in the works at the moment but I have had a very good winter with my work and the spares that I have got six months ahead on the house payments, paid my tax bill and the accountant too.
I am just going to have to potter about doing what I can for some while.
No more carrying engines about and doing my usual brash showing off.
Time to start growing up ??? Nah !! No chance. That's for old people.

Nice one mate, wishing you a speedy recovery. That will only happen if you at least take it a little bit easy though.........!

Kidding aside matey, don't be a hero and try to do to much, too soon, last thing you want to do is fuck it up completely.

Nice one Rich. I was hopping mad after I realised how bad it was. To make matters worse my friend that heard me crash down the stairs heard me swear, something he has never heard before and now I get ribbed about it every time he sees me. I dont think SSSSHHHIIITTTT !!! in the circumstances was too bad.rich the mechanic wrote:Get well soon hop(e) it heals quickly for you.

Thanks waz. I won't be down too long for sure. I am a very poor looser and hate to be beaten at anything. I am not going to let this mishap get me down . I will bounce back.
I have only got 13 months to official retirement - - but that's not going to happen. I guess I will retire to a 6ft wooden box with no frills and in the meantime I will just keep recycling" Dem Hi-Jets man", for me and everyone.

Sadly no Logi, and even if Tim had done the £250 you get from the Telly split 2 ways dont get much more than two tankfulls of petrol. And of course CICA the Accident Insurance company I have used since I was 18 I havent had a sighting of their reps for ages so I wasnt covered for
that.
Thanks for your " kidding aside " wishes too. I completely missed that last night.
Been to the Doctors this evening and it seems that I have torn the muscle both on the knee and up the thigh where it attaches to the bone . The Doc I saw last week only spotted the one on the knee so not good news.
But I am taking it easy just pottering about in my garage at home and I can now use the leg well enough to drive our saloon car but I cant even get into a Hi-Jet. Too damn painful.
that.

Just consign yourself to a few weeks of doing diddly-squat while your body sorts its magic out, and you'll be up and down your ladders by Easter. But if you don't behave.....

Oh its so nice knowing I have such loyal friends on here. So reassuring.
Does this mean I can stop attending the Whitecroft Mental Healthcare Day
Clinic at St Marys now ???? Takes up so much of my time.

singledad wrote:sorry to hear this woody hope you heal soon we all need u for are spares and sanity
Here steady on Ron . You're casting aspersions at my Insanity. Can't have that mate. You'll be ruining my reputation. I haven't been nicknamed the Incredible Hulk for the last 20 years without good reason.
Whatever spares it was you are after that's 50% discount my friend.
