Selling my Daihatsu Camper Empty Selling my Daihatsu Camper

Hello,

After lots of deliberation I have decided to sell my lovely camper van Sylvie- and thought this would be the best place to start...

https://s998.photobucket.com/user/gilllikestoast/library/Sylvie

She is a 1997 reg silver van, just over 85,000 miles which has been professionally converted into a camper van- with two single beds that can be adapted to a bigger bed, table, a gas cooker, sink, electrical hook-up, leisure battery, pop-up roof and comes with a side awning.

In the time that I have had her (2 years) I have never used the water tank for the sink, the gas cooker or the leisure battery - so I am not sure how well they all work.
She passed her MOT in January with just a bit of welding and a new windscreen wiper, so is good until Jan 2014 although she is SORN at the moment.

I have had issues with her battery - I think it may be a problem with the split charge sending the charge to the leisure battery rather than the normal battery. At the moment after charging the battery she will start no problem, but if I try and start her again 2 days later the battery is dead. I think it just needs someone who knows a bit more about these things to take a look, but aside from that she runs absolutely fine. She has been sitting for about 3 months or so, so may need waking up a bit, but for her age she is fab.

I am open to offers, any questions feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer them (same with photos- hopefully these will attach but if you would like to see any more just message me). I am in Cardiff so she would need to be picked up from here. Be lovely to have her back on the road and with someone who can get as much fun out of her as I did.

Thanks,

Gill

Ah, but interested in the van or the fact that Gill's 'open to offers?' Very Happy

But, what does "open to offers" really mean? £2? £200? £2000?

The first option is insulting! (well to anyone South of the Wall)

Yep, 'twas meant to be. I can't stand "offers" or even worse, "serious offers". Ok, I offer a fiver and won't smile. I sell quite a bit of stuff, I know what I want for the VFR and the wee Honda, I know my bottom line for both. Most people know what they want for things, why "offers"? If someone is genuinely open to offers the 1st one isn't insulting, is it?

So why do Scottish property sales operate on an 'offers over' basis? Never understood that.

I tink you well know I was referring to George Bernad Shaw in this instance.

Gill, has Oldie been sniffing round yet?

I quite like the Scottish property informal tender system on property.

Gives all buys the equal chance of opportunity.
