A little buying advice please? Empty A little buying advice please?

Well, im still looking. .. I think minimouses romahome is going to end up being too expensive for me, it will rightly end on ebay higher than my budget for sure

so if anyone hears of a good little hijet for around the 300 mark, id appreciate a tip off...

dont mind if its a van, would prefer a bus, and would prefer a pickup over that.

cheers

That one really doesn't look bad at all.

I would recommend getting a 1.3 one as they perform really well.

But that ones looks pretty reasonable from the photo's for £300.

Only looking in person will tell you how rotten it is, how the coolant system is and how well its been maintained though.

Back door is a bit shabby.

Our MPV was £300 with a leaky rad and blown head gasket.

As with all things, it's easy to think your getting something cheap.

Only to spend a whole load more getting it road worthy.

There are good half way houses though.

When I bought my current white one, it was about £600. Not that clean, but after I swapped the drivers door, gave it a polish, swapped the wheels and generally tinkered with the little bits I see it as a damn tidy low milage Hijet.

Rust is your worst enemy! That and coolant systems.

But even just having to replace all the little bits can add up to more than you expect.

The coolant system, if it is causing problems will normally cost you a radiator, pump, thermostat, maybe a housing, head gasket and skim, replacement pipework, caps, coolant, fan switch maybe, and a whole load of labour.

Yep. My old one cost £450, short MOT, leaking petrol. Repaired the pipe, ran it. But it needed welding, brake pipes, master cylinder & discs/pads for the MOT. Tho tbh a good runner is worth fixing Smile

Your right, used to be white that van. Boot floor says it all.

Why are there no side pictures.

Red over spray on the drivers side rear light cluster.

Plus the boot shut gap is erm - grey?! Hmmm?

Bumpers have been back to blacked but the back on only while closed.

Replacement aerial without the upper support.

Mirrors are very black to blacked.
