Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
Noticed on Ebugger there were wheels advertised as Hijet fitment , long story but they weren't , BUT on emailing them (Rochford Tyres) i expected the usual we supply wheels, we know best etc reply, but surprise surprise, no. Been in touch with Dave from aforementioned wheel & tyre supplier, very helpful chap, who "may" be able to source 13 &14" wheels, possibly can do 15's drilled at the mo if any interest, and, especially for HJ, there are 17's available from Wolfrace in 4x110 NOW!!!

17" Wheels ??? On a Hi-Jet?? Not on the road surely.
What will it be used for --- Hiring out to the local council as a road-roller after they have finished Tarmaccing the M1 ??

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
Ok, after a bit of effort(and f*ck all interest here? ) i have managed to source aftermarket wheels with proper 4x110 pcd. I will start a new thread(hopefully LP can make it a sticky) with a link to the styles/sizes available, but if anyone's seriously interested have a look at the Wolfrace site and post up the wheels you fancy and you never know.
Ballpark figures are around the £350 a set, these would be supplied with sleeve nuts(same as Revolution nuts) due to making the holes larger(they're drilled from 108's to a 110 pcd, i'll post pix and explanations later cos i can't be arsed just now, it's Friday
I'm also hoping to get a discount code for members, prob only 5% but better than a poke in the bottom from a rubber instrument

These look good.... which is the offset (ET 35 or 42) needed for these wheels to fit our vans http://www.alloywheels.com/Wolfrace_GB_Milano_Titanium_Silver_4_Stud_Alloy_Wheels

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
I'll never buy another set of new wheels ever again.
You lose way too much money on them.
And if you scuff them when you've paid top dollar it'll break your heart.

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
i have 15 inch wolfrace multi fit on my van i have had them on for just over 12 months now.no wobble nuts or anything .and there was a bit of front end judder after 60mph ..but i always kept it just under ..recently i bought some new tyres and got woodys opinion on reducing my tyre size i reduced my tyre wall by 10mm without comprimising the width of the tyres and alloys ,and now the judder has gone tyres im on now are Maxxis Victra MA-Z1 Tyres 195-45-15 instead of 195-55-15 just an idea for anyone with front end judder

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
Might have just been taking the wheels off and refitting them which got rid of the judder as they might have been off centre.
Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
no ....the old tyres have been took off twice new pads and discs ,,and for puncture and balancing both times it still juddered .only stopped when i reduced the tyre wall

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
When fitting a wrong pcd wheel to a different pcd hub you are in the lap of the god to where it sits.
And doing it without wobble nuts is a total engineering fail - imagine the stress on the studs.

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
done me no harm they went on just as easy as a bog standard hijet wheels and this bus has been off road fishing in all kinds off terrain the wheels have been on for over 12months ..as for wrong fitting pcd im guessing that multifit .does not count then.. at the end of the day i am happy with them and have no problems with them maybe the lapgod has shone on me

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
Multi fit normally means 4 holes drilled to 4x100 and 4 holes drilled the 4x108
Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
Yeah, and this is a thread about the correct pcd wheels... I fitted Fiat wheels to a Marina van, around 2mm out on pcd. Studs sheared and the wheel fell off. Never had a problem beforehand though....

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
you can get multifit wheels with 4x110; wolfrace made them. And any wolfrace dealer will sell you a new set of 4x110 wheels. They just drill them on order

Re: Possible Aftermarket Wheel Option
when I was looking for some 4x110's about a year ago I went into bush tyres a local tyre dealer near me who are wolfrace dealers and asked about it and he rang them and said yeah no problem if you order them they'll drill them. they only gave me a choice of about 5 or 6 wheels and they were about £450 if I remember. I didn't really want new wheels though so went with the old mazda option.
