Wheel stuck on!
I would have posted this as a follow on to yesterdays discussion on tiny wheels. tires etc......except I can't find that string of posts!
Anyway, does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can get a wheel off that is stuck on? I've whacked it with a large hammer; not budging. Whack it harder?

Re: Wheel stuck on!
I usually use a Sledge Hammer hitting the tyre on the inside of the wheel with the flat side of the head of the hammer turning the wheel a little bit each time. Always works for me.
Before putting a wheel on I always grease the stub of the disc and the centre hole of the wheel. If it is a steel wheel sandpaper the hole edges to get any rust off or if an Alloy same again to get the corrosion off before greasing it.

As Woody says, if at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer
DON'T hit the wheel.

Re: Wheel stuck on!
I've just tried loosening off bolts and driving, hard breaking etc. No luck whatsoever. Have whacked it hard lots of times with a sledge hammer.
Logi, it's going to be your way next... BIGGER HAMMER!
Nothing's ever straightforward is it?!

Re: Wheel stuck on!
If suspended securely I sometimes lie on my back and stamp alternate edges of the tyre, works for me
