Hardtop for pickup?
Is there a hardtop canopy to fit a microvan pickup? I've seen one on a South African website but not here in the UK. Thanks g149

Something a bit posher than canvas - glass fibre mould with opening back window hatch.

Re: Hardtop for pickup?
Something simpler:- DFSK show a micro pickup hardtop on page 11 of their brochure (link below) in the Canopies & Tops section. A bit expensive; has anyone else made similar hard tops in the past?

Thanks PFM. Hoping for something that would look more recreational rather than work horse. With a window hatch back.

Re: Hardtop for pickup?
Something like a Truckman top then, but they don't make them for Hijets and I don't think anyone does. The height probably has as much to do with the (lack of) demand.

Re: Hardtop for pickup?
If you can find a scrappy with one you maybe able to get the back cut off to make your own.
Re: Hardtop for pickup?
Did think about trimming down a standard one. But it's the narrowness of the hijet that causes problems as I don't think width can't be trimmed. (As mentioned in an earlier response above with link, DSFK can provide a tailor made expensive back for our micro sized pickup but not sure if imported or made in UK).

Re: Hardtop for pickup?
Why not make your own in fibreglass.
Alloy tubing formed to size to make the frame, not forgeting to strengthen where rear opening is going.
Somemuslim muslin fabric streched over the frame.
Then, over the fabric, layer-up the fiberglass to required thickness.
Sand'n'fill, sand'n'fill, sand'n'fill ...sand.....to the finish you want.
Bracket/quick release clamps for when removing canopy.
Cut out door, a couple of hinges, bonnet stays and some rubber door seal .
You can get cheap windows (including frames) from old scrap caravans.
A great little project, and with a little thought.....it'll look the dogs bolshaviks.
Have a look at Landrover tops, there's 'fcuk to em' for the amount of money cost .
