Not many have a 1300cc enguine - and doesn't mention Hijet at all - how did you find that?

If you look closely at the VW badge it has a mesh back to let the air in for the rad and I hope that the badge comes off to pour the coolant into the rad.

At £3250 a tad overpriced IMHO. As far as I can see it is just a 1999 hijet with the VW front.

True, but if you want one of those vw kits it's a lotta lotta money from japan, plus fitting and paint.

Same time if you want a samba they start at about £3500

If you put VW camper in the name of anything it tends to be expensive. Have you seen how much people pay for a rotten shagged campervan? When finished will barely do 55mph and break down alot! Thus the appeal of a samba or this as a toy.

hi new to the forum, I was the owner of said hijet, and it never nerver never overheated i loved the van so much i got another. and it overheats..... overheats i miss my good old reliable jet..

hi first buyer messing about so relisted. second buyer took it back to scotland.. she loves it. told her about forum. but it is in very good condition. so she will more than likely be out having fun, than talking about overheating issues.

Glad to see you've checked in, hope you get your current one sorted.

We're not all about overheating, but being one of the most common faults on them it does tend to pop up quite often!!

Turns into a bit of a hobby this forum, helping out others with finding parts and generally being friendly.

..... Sliding doors failing, rust, winder winders snapping off, rust, tailgate rattling and the button stops working, rust, fuel gauge failure and did any one mention occasionally they over heat.

Not just all those great virtues either, the owners tend to be in worse condition than their vans cheers

Haha, I forgotten about my sliding door issue, I have to be very carefully opening and closing, on a holiday camping in Cornwall a few years back, drove to a cute little cove to walk the dogs, the only little car park was an expensive pay and display, so quick walk the back to the van, swung the door.... And it fell off Rolling Eyes
